In a 3 week period, we PLAYED our little hearts out!!
To Kick it off,
My sister, Jenny, and her 3 girls came for a crazy, adventure packed weekend!!
We played, built benches, swam, played, pizza parties, sleep overs, stayed up late, laughed, and are SO glad they came!
My heart be STILL!! You know when you meet 'those' friends?
The ones you feel like you've known for 100 years? Well, we met those friends in Va, and have missed them horribly, but, they came to visit family, in Co, and we played!!
Oh how we can't get enough of the Hamiltons, and can't wait to plan our vacay for next year!!
Once again, we played tourist in the wonderful city of Denver.
Honestly one of the most artistically creative cities I've ever seen, and, consequently, child friendly!
No trip to any city would be complete with out an excursion to the ZOO- and a picnic/bike ride in our favorite, City Park .
We had to make one final journey before our pass expired!
In Shadow order, Jeff, Hank, Jax, Lucy and Charlie.
Oh how my family makes my heart jump!! Love love love !
Rocky Mountain National Park and ESTES PARK-
In one word, AHHHHHH-MAZING!!!
This blew my sox off.
Beautiful, mountain, quaint, exquisite, charming little town, just 2 HOURS from our casa!! !
We spent the weekend hiking, playing, camping and shopping with friends!
Thanks Rowels!! We had a terrific time!!!
Favorite photo of the YEAR!!
We had stopped in the town for a picnic, and what better way to enjoy a quiet, peaceful lunch...
I mean, are you KIDDING me???!! Free trolly, Salt water taffy??!!
Books called 'Charlie' ?!
The Scenic trail around Bear Lake.
Honestly, a bit disappointing, as far as the crowds go, but it sure was beautiful in site!
What trip wouldn't be complete
with out matching superhero backpacks?
The stylings of charlie! Going on day 3 without a shampoo. Ah, to embrace the inner hippy! Love this cutie!!
OH YEAH BABY!!!
Sure did.
Playing in the fountain, just up from all that small town charm. I think Charlie was willing to stay until the poor statue man had no more water to dump out of his boot. To have the curiosity of a 4 year old!
I am not even kidding when I say one of my favorite parts of camping
is the dirty socks. Depending on where the folds are, you get coordinating dirt lines.
Oh my heck, I love these little sock stinker-uppers!
AND....thats a wrap!
Holy cow! That takes us to the week before school starts,
and one more vacation to go!!
Phew!!
Man, to live a thousand hours in a day, if they were all like these, t'would truly be a dream!
