Easter, Part 1

Before we skip past one holiday to get to the other,
we have to squeeze in St. Patties day!
I'm a sucker for a parade, and Jeff's so kind to tag along, so the kids and I can get our fix.
We headed down town for a MASSIVE parade, and they weren't kidding when they said
this green holidays big in denver.

This sweet lady let us squish by her, which allowed for prime candy pickin!

Yes, the leprechauns came.
In full force.
Such a time consuming tradition, to cut out all the little feet (with a paper cutter)
but they love it, and if it makes them smile, I'm game.

We had a bit of an identity crisis St. Patties day morning.
Although, it was such a fun tradition to get dressed up in Halloween decor, we may just make it tradition.

U.T.A.H
Oh heavens!
We are 2/2 with our illnesses while traveling to Utah.
Over Christmas, my children all had the flu, and it lingered all through our stay,
and through the New Year (thats how Hank got the nick name, blizzard bum. We had stopped on the highway, with hurricane strength winds, snow and freezing rain, for Hank to go potty, outside our car. When a child, who's been sick, with it comin out both ends, you never ask 'can you hold it?' Thus the nick name was born)
Unfortunately, this trip was no different!!!
Charlie had thrown up the week leading up to the trip, and passed it to ME.
So, the day we were planning on leaving, road closure storms were predicted, so, having spend the previous day in bed, I made a last minute decision to leave Friday.
I mustered up any strength I could, loaded the car and kids, and we were on our way.
Jeff joined us a week later, and that trip was not without its drama!!!!
Stopping for emergency potty stops, barf bowls to share, but luckily, no snow this time.
We made it!!! The trip was once again filled with a cycle of flu,
but as you'll see, that didn't stop our fun!!!!

We went to the zoo with Grandma.
We could not have picked a colder morning, but as it turned out,
the best time to see the animals in action.
The polar bear was our favorite.
We beat the crowds, saw the animals at their best, and loved spending the morning with Grandma!

I have one word for you.
POT-STICKERS!
nuf said
And, the Sloan girls.
We haven't been together for over 3 years!
As you can imagine, it was wonderful.

The Sloan conference weekend tradition of pot stickers has not died,
and this year, with all of us finally there (minus Jeff) we had plenty to make,
 as well as eat! Mmmmnnnnn!!!

Not just because he's our only grandparent left, but Floyd truly is a GREAT grandpa.
He is a marvelous example of patience, endurance, strength, kindness, love.
We LOVE Floyd.

Incase we needed any more candy, the cousins Easter Egg hunt.
The trip started out very rocky, with the flu and all, but by mid week, and the end,
we made up for any lost time, and really had a super trip!!! !
